When is the best time to schedule newborn photos?
The best time to schedule newborn photos is within the first two weeks. This is when they are at their sleepiest and tiniest. Having said that, we have done newborn photo shoots at 5 days and up to 4 weeks old.
Can we be in the pictures? What about our other children (toddlers)?
Of course! We LOVE capturing newborn pictures with parents. And how cute would big sister/brother look kissing the baby?!
Where will the session take place?
The session will take place at the comfort of your home. We like to set up in the room with the most natural light. Places that we like to use are your living room, bedroom, the baby's room, and possibly the front or backyard.
What do we wear for newborn pictures?
Pay attention to your home decor first, and then pick out your outfits. We have a complete guide on what to wear for family pictures, with samples!
If you have specific outfits or props for your baby, build around those. If you don't have any outfits, that's ok. When we have the session at your home, we will bring in various colored wraps or we can do naked baby poses.
Do you photograph newborn twins? Is there an additional charge?
Twins are awesome! Yes there is an additional charge of $150. We also suggest that you ask a family member or friend to help during the photo session. How could they say no?
