5 Best Spots For Photography In Denver

People often ask me questions of my favorite spots in Denver.

When they request a location they say, “We want something that says ‘Colorado’.”

There are other areas that are beautiful just outside of Denver, like Boulder and Evergreen but these are my personal favorites within a reasonable driving distance.

So, here are my top 5 places (in no particular order) for your next photo shoot in the Denver metro area that say ‘Colorado’. Enjoy!

Union Station:

At Union Station you have the beautifully renovated station but you also have areas around the station that makes this location a true “Denver Colorado” spot. You have the alley ways of downtown but you also have the front and back on Union Station which makes for the perfect picture!

City Park (behind the Denver Museum of Nature & Science):

When people google Denver they usually see the mountains and the skyscrapers in front. The best spot for this shot and for your next family photos would be at City Park. You have to enter off Montview and Colorado in order to capture this view.

Red Rocks:

Of course this is the best spot to capture “Colorado”! These beautiful and famous rock formations are the prefect spot to show your out-of-town friends and relatives! But spend some time in the quaint town of Morrison! It’s full of small town charm and great food.

South Valley Park:

Just south of Red Rocks is the little know South Valley Park. They are not as famous as Red Rocks but just as beautiful! I prefer this spot over Red Rocks because there are less people and I feel like there are more options here for pictures.

Lookout Mountain Park in Golden:

This last place is the best mountain view and hike you can get without driving too far. It’s just pass the beautiful town of Golden. These views can be seen after just a short walk from the parking lot. It’s a very flat and easy walk to capture these breathtaking views!
